What you’ll be doing.

Job Summary:

The Medical Operations Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for the medical operations supporting our Travel Assistance and insurance business. This position will manage a team of nurses and doctors [TL1] who are responsible for reviewing clinical data to provide clinical assessments and input related to medical assistance cases as well as after the fact travel insurance claims. The position will work collaboratively within Operations to help oversee travel assistance medical logistics services which includes the facilitation of worldwide medical transports. Additional responsibilities include the continuous improvement of all medical service delivery procedures, capacity/demand analysis for medical services, and quality monitoring of medical services. The position reports to the Director of the Customer Service Department.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of four years Emergency Room clinical experience in acute care setting and/or case management experience
  • Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent client/member (patient) information.
  • Effective and sound decision making and problem-solving skills a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact positively with clients, providers and professional staff. Must represent the organization in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills, including Windows applications, e-mail and internet applications, document and file management, spreadsheet, presentation, and contact management applications
  • Has strong customer service focus, decision making, planning and organizing skills
  • Stress tolerance, strong negotiation skills

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (any language)
  • Previous experience as a flight nurse
  • Previous experience as a medical escort in a commercial flight setting

Education/Certifications:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
  • Licensed Health professionals: RN - Active RN License in the state of Florida.
  • Keep license current and complete CEU’s as mandated by the Board of Nursing in the state of Florida http://floridasnursing.gov/

Where you’ll be doing it.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Pembroke Pines, FL office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.

When you’ll be doing it.

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
